First, this is indeed a USB headset;
someone uploaded a picture of a different model
(with the two 3.5mm plugs).
Also, it has a mute / volume control on the (8 foot!) cord.
I'll upload a photo.
Because I bought this headset for voice recognition,
and recording video tutorials,
the low quality headphones are not a problem.
I would recommend looking for something else
if you want high quality sound for music or
FPS gaming.
If your main interest is the microphone,
I can definitely recommend it.
I get very accurate voice recognition with Dragon Naturally;
and clear sound quality when recording with Camtasia.
Update:
I don't have small ears,
so while this headset is light,
the padding is thin
thus I'm not comfortable wearing it for long periods.
I also tend to irritate myself with the cord
wrapping itself up (it doesn't want to become straight).

Great brand, decent price, comfortable to wear long hours, work on internet phone for 8 hours a day and it does a great job, sound quality good, people can hear me good, would have liked volume control on set, but not that big a deal, would buy this brand again
