After trying several other high end corded headsets, the TB Z6A is by far the best I've owned. Sound quality is amazing and the mic works great. Out of 10 points, with 10 being the highest I would rate this headset as follows:
In-game sound = 10 (MW3 sound is awesome!)
Music sound = 10 (pleasantly suprised)
5.1 Surround Sound = 10
Control Unit = 9 (works great but it's a little too close to the headset and requires you to clip it onto yourself)
Microphone = 10 (someone else mentioned it would be nice if it was detachable, I disagree. It folds up easily and the fancy SoundBlaster headset I had with the detachable mic failed at that connection)
Comfort = 9 (design keeps ears cool; I'm not really sure a 10 exists)
Pro's - SOUND!, cool ears
Con's - control pod is too close to the headset. You have to actually clip it to your pocket as opposed to having it sit on your desk. Adding another 12" of cord between the headset and pod would help.
Bottom line...I would highly recommend this headset!

This review is coming from a long time Turtle Beach HPA2 owner. At first I was a bit disappointed when I put these on and listened to music. The bass was terrible. After some experimenting with these and my HPA2's I found that the best combo is the HPA2 amplifier and this headset. Bass is a WORLD apart using the HPA2 amp, and the slight hiss that this headset (and all others that I know of) creates is due to the amplifier, and the HPA2 amplifier has less hiss as well. I really don't know how they could screw it up so much. That said, the headset is great, mic works well, and using the HPA2 amp the bass is even better than my old headset. It is also noticeably more comfortable, because the cushion around your ears pushes the headset farther out so your ears aren't touching the inside of the headset, which is especially important for long sessions.
Overall, disappointed with the amplifier that comes with these, but I love the headset when used with my old HPA2 amplifier. For those of you who don't have a different amplifier to use...maybe buy it separately or don't use these for music.
