I was in the market for some good comfy gaming headphones after my speakers quit on me.
Doing some research, these ones came up pretty frequently. And then I saw the price here on Amazon and I jumped on it.
It's worth every cent and then some.
The headset is quite comfortable with all that padding. They sit lightly on your head and don't feel like they're crushing you like a vise. I've worn them comfortably throughout a Left 4 Dead 2 Versus match lasting a couple hours.
The mic clarity is good, I've received no complaints about static or background noise.
I'm no sound snob, so I can't say if the sound quality is amazing or shoddy. I can just tell you I have no complaints there.
The little in-line volume control/mic mute dongle works quite well. Also, the volume control is an analog dial that appears to directly affect the sound as it comes up the wire, as opposed to changing your computer's volume settings, like some headsets do.
Finally, the vaunted simulated Surround Sound. Some reviews I read said this feature was sham, but I find it actually does work. It's not immediately obvious as if you had surround sound speakers, but if you have a constant sound source in game, and you turn in circles, the sound will circle around you if you pay close enough attention. You're only paying $60 for this thing, instead of a speaker set-up, with wires, and a sound card. I'd say that's pretty damn good.
Bottom Line: Totally worth the money. Not as good as true surround sound, but it works and it's very reasonably priced.

I bought these headphones for my boyfriend for his birthday. He loved them and a month later they broke. We just got a replacement and so far they are working great. He loves them for his computer games and I love them because I dont have to listen to it.
